They do however feel they can speak to a teacher about academic issues at 67%. 13% of students report that not getting along with teachers is a moderate to a very big hassle, 25% say that they were robbed one or more times at school, 8% say that it is a hassle by being teased or bothered by others, and 26% report that someone tried to sell them drugs more than once at school. A variety of sports and extra curricular activities are available to all students. Advanced placement courses are also offered to students who want to go above and beyond in their school work. The courses provided to the students are of a wide make-up and the graduation requirements are consistent with the requirements of the state. Not only is the high school and rest of the district made up of unforgettable life molding experiences its community is a well rounded, supportive and safe place to live. It is a great place to raise a family as well. Barrington is one of Rhode Island's best kept secrets.
